The productdescription on our webshop has been automatically translated. We apologize for any errors. You can always ask us questions in English.

The standard front fork suspension of your Yamaha FZS1000 (check year and model-info from the FZS1000 below in the motorcycle-list) is known to be too soft from the factory. This can lead to the front fork breaking through when the load on the front fork is higher. To prevent this, the original springs in the front fork of your motorcycle can be replaced with progressive suspension ProMoto from the well-known German brand Wilbers. Progressive suspension means that the suspension becomes stiffer as it is further compressed. This prevents unwanted sagging of the suspension.

Specifications:

  • Suitable for: Yamaha FZS 1000 Fazer year 01-
  • Required oil (not included): 7.5 (1 L) (=viscosity and number of liters required)
  • Air chamber height: 150mm*
  • Type: Progressive suspension

Please note: supplied without oil. See recommended article on this page to order it with the viscosity as indicated.

* = The air chamber is measured with the front fork fully compressed and without front fork springs.

After changing the normal suspension with this progressive front suspension you can only be surprised. The motorcycle is much better on the road and in the corners. I am still playing with the adjustable damping but the result is noticeable. Recommended !? Yes, I believe so. He steers finer and lighter and gives good feedback. The only point you now of course have is that it is much harder and feels over small bumps. Is that a downside !? Not for me personally. With this I can only say that I am very satisfied.
