I took the old battery out of my 2011 model and it turns out to have a ytx14bs in it which is also slightly higher so I had to fill it out to clamp it in place. So the ytx12bs fits, but doesn't actually belong

Assembly was very easy indeed, perhaps not if you don't know the basics as indicated. Then I switched to the setup in the settings of the app, which also went smoothly, but my R6 from 01 still has a bit of trouble going from 1st to 2 without a clutch, he doesn't like it 9 out of 10 he went to N so a lot of noise little speed :( and low revs when switching gears you feel a bit of resistance as if he doesn't like it. But if you give more gas (halfway the rpm) then he shifts very well BUT if you start to make too many rpms (full power, not the limited) then it gives so much resistance that I can't shift it to the next gear. So all in all, a nice product gives a nice performance, but for me it doesn't work 100%. I'm going to do it myself again to get it 100%. In retrospect it was worth it (no) since the motorcycle cost 1000 and the quick shifter cost 280 3/10 of the motorcycle :) Response from mPartz: It appears that the sensor on the gear lever is not set correctly and is not working. If you feel a lot of resistance, it means it's not doing anything. In the app you can check whether the value corresponds to the minimum value for the sensor.

Ordered a gel battery for Honda Shadow 1100C, but it turned out to be about 2 mm too high! Therefore it does not fit into the motorcycle. After adjustments to the motorcycle, it was still installed, but locking the battery no longer worked properly! A bit of a shame, the battery is actually not suitable due to its dimensions. Response from mPartz: To avoid misunderstandings: it is not a gel battery, but it is a maintenance-free one. Something seems to have been stuck, because the VT1100 (and VT750) is the only one for which this battery is suitable (same dimensions as the original Yuasa). Then we would have expected more reports (and reviews) about the fit since we sell this battery 1-2 per week specifically for this motorcycle. |
